I’ve been a busy little author this week. I’ve plotted out chapters and scenes, fleshed out characters and my world, and pondered how to make my characters suffer, develop, shine, and dazzle readers and myself when they perform on the page.

After telling her sister about her trip into the Black Forest, Clementine tries to subtly bring up the Foxes to her dad over dinner— and immediately wishes she hadn’t. The mention of the riffraff that lived in the forest surrounding her kingdom brings up awful, awful memories, of the death of the late king of Moonflower Valley.
