not an average blog post
Today things are going to be very different because your beloved Leah Larkspur was tired and busy with homework so…… you guys get me instead! Hi guys! This is Maya, Leah’s fantastic older sister. Some of you guys might know me from the forum (Maya Daisy), or you might not, which is fine too.
A little bit about me: I’m a couple years older than Leah, a Pisces, forever a dog person (although I love my cat with all my heart), a crafter, a sporadic writer, a hater of math (sorry to the .0658 % of the population who enjoy it, you guys are very lucky), a lover of all things Taylor Swift and Gilmore Girls, and an avid reader (especially of romance).
Remember when I said I was a sporadic writer? Well, I’ve been toying with a plot for several years, and I’ve started and stopped and then scrapped everything and started again more times than I can count. It’s changed shape since my beginning, but the basic idea has stayed the same. Here’s the blurb!
In the wake of tragedy, young Calendula Rosewood finds herself lost in a world that feels foreign. Taken in by the Duke and Duchess Periwinkle, she becomes the governess to their twins years later, forming a bond that feels like family.
But when the children are kidnapped, everything changes. A chilling ransom note is left behind.
Now, with a childhood friend, a gruff tracker, and a clever thief, Calendula races against time.
As danger lurks at every turn, secrets unfold. Who can she trust? Will she uncover the truth before it's too late?
There it is! That’s a very rough draft, but it gives you the gist. I’m aiming for a found family relationship like The Prison Healer (Lynette Noni), which is one of my favorite books and I highly recommend it. There’s also dragons in my rough draft/idea/outline situation, which is always a plus in my opinion. I have some character sheets too, but tbh I have no idea where they are so sadly you guys will have to go without them today. If Leah lets me do this again, then I will try to find them and share them then.
I think that’s all for today, so I’m going to bid you all farewell. I hope you guys enjoyed reading my ramblings, and leave a comment if you did (or… if you didn’t)!
Farewell,

Also, this was very short, so apologies.
